The Senior Travel Consultant role at BCD Travel is a full-time, remote position based within the United States and Canada regions, operating with working hours from Monday to Friday until 8 PM Eastern Time. As the senior member of the travel consultant team, you will be the face of BCD Travel to both current and new clients, delivering expert advice and personalized travel solutions. This role demands an individual who communicates effortlessly, has a customer-service mindset, and possesses extensive international travel agent experience.
Your daily responsibilities will involve searching and confirming travel reservations, adhering to client-specific travel policies, and ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations including DOT, TSA, passport, and visa requirements. You will provide clients with vital industry information such as low fares, exchange costs, and penalties to facilitate informed travel decisions. The role also encourages proactive engagement in reviewing operational processes and client relationships to suggest improvements, keeping BCD Travel at the forefront of industry standards.
Success in this position requires a strong command of the GDS Sabre system, excellent verbal and written English communication skills, and a solid understanding of the travel industry's policies, procedures, and processes. Job Requirements
- Relevant experience in international travel consultancy
- proficiency in GDS Sabre system
- excellent communication skills in English
- ability to work remotely within the US or Canada

Job Duties
- Search and confirm travel reservations for the customer
- have a strong understanding of a client travel policy and consistently provide consultation to the customer
- fulfill all requests regarding necessary regulations including DOT, TSA, passports, visas
- provide the client with required industry information such as low fares, exchange costs, and penalties
- seek opportunities to review operational processes and commercial relationships with clients to provide suggestions for improvement
- maintain, actively communicate, and seek expansion of current knowledge of the state of the various travel industries supported
