Intuit is a leading financial software company dedicated to powering prosperity around the world. With a strong commitment to innovation and customer success, Intuit provides a variety of products aimed at simplifying financial management for individuals, small businesses, and accounting professionals. Among its recognized suite of offerings, TurboTax stands out as a popular, user-friendly tax preparation software trusted by millions. Intuit operates across the United States, constantly expanding its reach to help more customers navigate the complexities of taxes and financial planning.
Intuit is currently hiring motivated individuals for the position of Tax Expert at TurboTax Store locations across the country. This role is unique as it blends tax expertise with entrepreneurial drive and community involvement, enabling professionals to build meaningful relationships with clients while supporting their financial well-being. Operating on a seasonal or year-round basis, Tax Experts will work onsite at local TurboTax retail or flagship stores, providing in-person and virtual customer service centered on accurate tax preparation and advice.
As a Tax Expert at TurboTax Store, you are empowered to be a proactive community ambassador, representing TurboTax locally and delivering high-quality tax solutions while engaging with current and potential clients. The role involves fostering customer loyalty through exceptional service and trusted advice, turning one-time tax clients into lasting relationships. TurboTax marketing tools and support are available to help drive business growth and enhance outreach efforts.
These Tax Experts leverage their extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations to handle a wide range of tax situations, including personal, business income, deductions, amendments, and future tax planning. Their expertise enables customers to minimize tax liabilities and maximize refunds. Alongside tax preparation, they create an approachable and supportive environment by translating complex financial jargon into easily understandable language, reducing client stress and uncertainty.
This nonexempt role requires flexibility in scheduling, with operating hours spanning Sunday through Saturday, often increasing during periods of peak tax season demand. Pay ranges vary by state, with competitive base rates supplemented by cash bonuses and equity rewards based on performance. Intuit also offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees' health, wellness, and career growth.
The ideal candidate for this role possesses active tax credentials such as EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney status and holds a valid Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN). A minimum of three years of paid experience filing at least 50 individual federal and state tax returns per season using professional preparation software is essential. Furthermore, candidates must be comfortable working in a customer-facing retail setting and committed to building a local and online presence as a TurboTax expert.
Intuit values passion for customer empowerment, entrepreneurial spirit, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments. Bilingual skills, especially English and Spanish, are considered a plus. Wearing a TurboTax uniform and being willing to work front-facing roles are also necessary requirements. Joining Intuit means becoming part of a company dedicated to innovation, customer success, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and offering meaningful opportunities for career development within the financial technology sector.
