Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or relevant area
  • minimum three years of special event programming or venue operations experience
  • valid Class C Driver's License
  • ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • availability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work under general direction
  • competent with office software and data entry

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or relevant field
  • minimum three years experience in special event programming or venue operations
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • leadership experience managing staff and volunteers
  • proficiency in contract negotiation and vendor management
  • experience in customer service and public relations
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • valid Class C Driver's License

Job Duties

  • Assist with planning, directing, and guiding special event functions
  • coordinate and develop programming and/or events
  • communicate with vendors, contractors, entertainers, and designated staff
  • ensure all services are provided
  • coordinate set-up, operation, and tear down of events
  • lead staff and/or volunteers for each event
  • maintain reports of incidents and accidents
  • monitor and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies
  • complete contracts, agreements, and purchase orders
  • manage negotiations with clients and vendors
  • coordinate sponsorship opportunities and manage deliverables
  • perform office duties including maintaining reports, developing flyers, scheduling hours, and inputting data
  • assist in addressing complaints and emergency issues
  • provide customer service to internal and external customers
  • promote public relations by speaking to groups about programs and community needs
  • perform other duties as assigned
