The Senior Sous Chef role at Waldorf Astoria Orlando is a vital position within the Culinary team, dedicated to upholding the highest standards of food quality, innovation, and service delivery. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a sous chef or in a similar culinary leadership role
  • Experience working in luxury hotel or fine dining environments
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Proficient in inventory management and scheduling software

Job Qualifications

  • Proven culinary leadership experience preferably in luxury hotels or high-end restaurants
  • Expertise in menu development and kitchen operations management

Job Duties

  • Oversee production and service by managing daily kitchen operations including creating and monitoring production lists, completing line checks, and expediting service periods
  • Enhance menu offerings through development and implementation of seasonal menus, promotional features, and daily specials
  • Promote cross-department collaboration by fostering strong, positive relationships between Front of House and Back of House teams
  • Provide administrative support including inventory management, ordering, and scheduling
  • Uphold regulatory standards by maintaining compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations
