This job opening is for a full-time Senior Sous Chef, Senior Kitchen Manager, or Chef De Cuisine position. This role is pivotal in managing the culinary team, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation while maintaining operational efficiency within the kitchen. The position offers a competitive pay range of $65,007.80 to $84,999.20 per year, or $22.73 to $29.72 per hour, based on experience. The role is classified as non-exempt, with an annual rate that assumes a 50-hour workweek. P.F. The Senior Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager leads a high-volume, scratch kitchen culinary team, overseeing food prep, menu execution, and adherence to recipes and operating procedures. This position requires the ability to provide clear direction during shifts and work collaboratively with the Executive Chef to uphold product quality and guest satisfaction. Team development and mentoring are key responsibilities, aimed at fostering a fun, positive work environment that encourages continuous learning and professional growth. The role also involves contributing to cost control, inventory management, and overall financial success of the restaurant. The successful candidate will engage directly in cooking activities when necessary and ensure all state safety and sanitation guidelines are strictly followed.
This opportunity is perfect for culinary professionals who thrive in fast-paced, dynamic kitchen environments and have a passion for leadership and team development. Candidates with prior experience leading teams in casual or upscale dining settings, and those familiar with restaurant chains or franchises, will find the culture and expectations at P.F. Chang's aligning well with their skills. This role requires physical stamina, the ability to operate kitchen equipment safely, and a valid driver’s license for performing occasional duties such as catering deliveries and attending offsite meetings.
P.F. Chang's is not just a workplace; it is a community driven by a shared purpose: To Celebrate Life. Family. Food. The company invests in its team through performance incentives, professional development programs including paid management training, referral bonuses, and exclusive employee discounts. Most restaurant locations close on major holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas, underscoring the company’s commitment to work-life balance. Additionally, the Lucky Cat Fund provides financial assistance to qualifying team members during hardships, highlighting the supportive nature of the P.F. Chang's community.
