Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 2 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Ability to lead and manage kitchen team
  • Knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in scheduling and payroll systems
  • Commitment to upholding quality and safety standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others
  • Advocates sound financial/business decision making
  • Supervises and manages employees and day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Ensures employee productivity and maintains high culinary standards
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and kitchen workers
  • Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
  • Assists Executive Chef with kitchen operations and purchasing
  • Develops and implements training, coaching, and mentoring programs
  • Manages payroll administration and staffing levels
  • Ensures exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction
  • Participates in employee performance evaluations and corrective actions
  • Prepares and cooks food items personally
  • Creates decorative food presentations
  • Maintains food storage and receiving standards
