We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join the opening team in Los Angeles. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years experience as a Senior Sous Chef or higher
- Valid Food Handler Card
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds of force frequently
- Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to maintain and follow recipes, processes and standards
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high energy kitchen environment
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience working as a Senior Sous Chef or higher
- Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain and follow recipes, processes and standards
- Valid Food Handler Card
- Documentation of right to work in the U.S.
- Strong drive and ambition with a desire to learn and grow within the team
- Full ownership of role
Job Duties
- Maintain a high level of food quality and standards ensuring guest satisfaction
- Maintain a high standard of safety and sanitation throughout the kitchen
- Oversee quality standards and ensure that department rules, policies and procedures are maintained
- Supervise the production of all food items
- Execute menu items in a timely and efficient manner to meet and exceed guest expectations
- Responsible for the monthly inventory of all items in the kitchen
- Ensure recipe standards are being followed in line with SUSHISAMBA standards
- Attend mandatory pre shift briefings
