The Sr Manager HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) plays a critical leadership role within Mission Critical Group, collaborating across the Power Generation Systems (PGS) sites to ensure consistent and high-performing health, safety, and environmental standards. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity for a highly experienced professional to lead the implementation and adherence to MCG's HSE policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, promoting a culture of safety, and driving continuous improvements in safety performance at various site locations. Reporting directly to senior leadership and working closely with the Central Operations Safety Leader, the role focuses on standardizing HSE processes across sites, overseeing regulatory and audit readiness, managing incident investigations, and reinforcing operational risk controls. The Sr Manager HSE ensures strict OSHA compliance and strengthens site-level accountability, ultimately embedding a strong safety culture aligned with corporate enterprise standards.

The position demands a forward-thinking leader capable of defining corporate HSE policies and cardinal rules, integrating safety thoroughly into business strategy, and supervising compliance across all regulated areas. Responsibilities include leading compliance evaluations, managing regulatory inspections, coaching leadership on accountability, and enhancing worker participation programs. Additional duties include establishing contractor safety standards, overseeing management of change governance, and aligning capital projects with HSE requirements. The Sr Manager HSE also analyzes enterprise safety performance data and presents trends to executive leadership.

Candidates for this role are expected to have a background in occupational safety, environmental science, industrial hygiene, engineering, or related fields, with 5-10 years of progressive HSE experience and at least 3 years in a leadership position. Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, especially with exposure to multiple sites, is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 general industry regulations, incident investigation skills, and familiarity with critical safety areas such as LOTO, MHE/Forklift compliance, fall protection, HAZCOM, contractor safety management, and fundamental environmental compliance. Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), or ISO lead auditor credentials are highly desirable, along with OSHA trainer authorizations. Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are strongly preferred, as are those experienced in harmonizing programs post-acquisition and developing advanced safety performance dashboards.
