Job Description

POP MART is an innovative and rapidly growing retail brand specializing in collectible toys and pop culture merchandise. As a prominent leader in the global toy market, POP MART combines creativity, unique product designs, and engaging customer experiences to captivate fans and collectors around the world. With its roots in Asia, POP MART is currently entering its next phase of expansion in the United States, focusing on growth through flagship stores, tiered retail formats, pop-up shops, and dynamic brand activations. This expansion underscores POP MART's commitment to creating immersive retail experiences that resonate with diverse U.S. audiences and strengthen its brand presence nationwide. The company culture emphasizes agility, creativity, and strategic thinking as it evolves to meet new market demands and customer expectations.

The Senior Manager, Events role at POP MART is pivotal to this U.S. expansion strategy. Tasked with building the Events function from the ground up, this individual will define the event strategy, develop scalable operational processes, manage budgets, and execute impactful retail and brand activations across the country. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional who thrives in ambiguous and fast-paced environments, who can balance strategic vision with hands-on execution, and who embraces a builder mindset. The successful candidate will play a strategic role in shaping POP MART's event portfolio, including flagship store openings, pop-ups, exhibitions, and intellectual property (IP) launches.

In this role, the Senior Manager will drive the creation of an annual event roadmap, establish event tiers aligned with brand and commercial goals, develop standard operating procedures and vendor playbooks, and ensure financial discipline through budget planning and ROI tracking. Additionally, they will lead cross-functional collaborations with teams such as Retail, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, and Operations to ensure events translate global brand directions into locally relevant and memorable experiences. Effectively managing external agencies and vendor relationships will be crucial to delivering high-quality events that generate measurable outcomes in traffic, sales, brand awareness, and community engagement.

The Senior Manager will also focus on operational excellence by creating standardized project management tools, establishing cost controls, ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety requirements, and building an extensive vendor network across different U.S. regions. As the company continues to scale, this position will evolve to include hiring and developing a team of event professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and growth, and positioning events as a key revenue-driving function rather than just a marketing support activity. Overall, the Senior Manager, Events will be a key driver in expanding POP MART's footprint and elevating the brand's experiential marketing capabilities in the U.S. market.
