The role of Senior Food Service Associate at UCI Health is an essential position within the institution’s food services department. Reporting directly to the Food Services Manager, this role operates across various settings including the kitchen, cafeteria, dishroom, and patient services. The Senior Food Service Associate’s duties encompass a broad spectrum of responsibilities critical to the preparation, assembly, service, and delivery of meals within the healthcare setting. This role also extends to catering services, dishwashing, sanitation, and safety protocols, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and safety are met at all times. Furthermore, the position includes assisting in training new Food Service Workers, which is vital for maintaining a cohesive and efficient team. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of three years of skilled food preparation and service experience and demonstrate solid knowledge of kitchen sanitary controls.
