The role of Senior Food Service Manager at Eagle Landing is a pivotal leadership position within UNT Dining Services. This role is designed for an experienced food service professional who will oversee daily operations in a fast-paced dining environment, ensuring the highest standards of food production, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Senior Food Service Manager is responsible for supervising student employees and full-time staff, managing costs, and maintaining compliance with food safety regulations. A key focus of this position is to maintain quality and service metrics consistent with the university's policies and standards while promoting a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for students, faculty, staff, and guests.
As a Senior Food Service Manager, you will play a crucial role in directing food preparation activities, mentoring team members through formal and informal training programs, and promoting a culture of operational excellence. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- minimum three years of experience in food service management or equivalent
- ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- demonstrated leadership and team management skills
- ability to work flexible hours
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to handle lifting up to 50 pounds
- ability to comply with health and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- three years of experience in food service management or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience
- extensive knowledge of dining, retail, and/or catering service operations
- knowledge of dietetics management principles and leadership in business operations
- ability to analyze and solve problems
- knowledge of cost and quality control techniques
- strong leadership, training, supervising, and evaluation skills
- ability to develop and present training programs

- preferred minimum of two years of supervisory or management experience in a food service or related environment

Job Duties
- Oversees food quality, customer service, and overall management of the assigned area in dining services
- Demonstrates leadership in dietetics management and business operations including planning, budgeting, organizing, controlling, and evaluating processes
- Trains, supervises, and evaluates team members
