InterContinental Hotels & Resorts continually aims for operational excellence, service innovation, and financial success, maintaining a strong commitment to quality and guest satisfaction.
The Senior Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager at InterContinental Hotels & Resorts plays a pivotal role in managing comprehensive food and beverage operations within the hotel. This position oversees multiple outlets including restaurants, bars, lounges, minibars, in-room dining, and seasonal or pop-up venues, ensuring adherence to hotel standards, corporate policies, and local regulations. This dynamic position demands strong leadership and business acumen, as the Senior F&B Manager is responsible for leading and developing teams, executing brand standards, and delivering exceptional guest experiences that enhance the hotel’s reputation and profitability. The manager supports innovative programming and promotions by collaborating with Culinary, Sales & Marketing, and other cross-functional teams. Operational duties include managing employee schedules, payroll, and compliance while overseeing daily outlet operations to uphold cleanliness, safety, and service excellence.
The role requires a hands-on approach, with the manager maintaining a visible presence during peak times to support staff and engage with guests, ensuring rapid resolution of guest concerns. The Senior F&B Manager is also accountable for financial stewardship, including budget development, expense controls, labor cost optimization, inventory management, and vendor relations. Compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations related to food, beverage, and alcohol service is critical.
Training and development are integral to this role, with responsibilities encompassing staff certification and ongoing service training, performance evaluations, coaching, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Commitment to safety, regulatory adherence, and high service standards underpin the daily operations managed by this leader.
Candidates for this role typically hold a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field, though equivalent experience is considered. Fluency in English and the ability to meet physical demands such as moving about facilities, lifting items, and handling food products are required. Additional competencies include excellent communication, problem-solving, budgeting, and organizational skills.
InterContinental Hotels & Resorts is proud to be an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusion. The company encourages all qualified candidates to apply, recognizing that a diverse and inclusive workforce contributes to outstanding guest experiences and business success.
