At Westin, associates are encouraged to embrace their own well-being and bring the brand's wellness-focused programming to life. Marriott International fosters an inclusive work environment that values diversity and promotes equal opportunity for all associates, encouraging a rich blend of culture, talent, and experiences across its teams.

This is a full-time role with an annual salary range of $83,000 to $110,000. The role involves overseeing event documentation, conducting meetings, solving operational challenges, managing customer budgets, and maximizing revenue opportunities through up-selling and enhancements. The Event Planner supports the Director of Event Management or Director of Event Planning and Operations and may act on their behalf in their absence. This role demands high attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Key responsibilities include leading pre-event and post-event meetings, managing group room blocks and meeting spaces, and maintaining constant communication with clients to ensure all needs and expectations are met. The planner is tasked with maximizing profitability by forecasting revenue and managing financial matters such as billing and payments. Additionally, the role emphasizes delivering exceptional customer service by addressing guest feedback, solving problems promptly, and following up after events to continually improve service standards. This position represents a critical link between the sales team and the service execution teams, and the successful candidate must be proactive, customer-focused, and solution-oriented to ensure outstanding event experiences.

Marriott International offers comprehensive benefits including a bonus program, health care plans, a 401(k) plan with company match, employee stock purchase plans, paid time off, life and disability insurance, and additional wellness and family support benefits. The company is committed to diversity and inclusion, providing a supportive environment where associates can thrive and grow their careers. Those passionate about hospitality and well-being, who seek to be part of a global team making a meaningful difference in guests' lives, will find this role fulfilling and rewarding.
