Job Description
Renaissance Dallas Hotel is a prestigious hotel located at 2222 N Stemmons Fwy, Dallas, Texas, United States. Part of the globally recognized Renaissance Hotels brand under Marriott International, this establishment is renowned for delivering exceptional guest experiences and high-quality event management services. The hotel prides itself on blending the unique culture and vibrant spirit of the Dallas neighborhood with elegant accommodations and professional service. The Renaissance Dallas Hotel attracts a diverse clientele, including business travelers, tourists, and event attendees, offering a dynamic environment that fosters creativity and excellence in hospitality.
This full-time management position is ideal for those seeking to engage deeply in high-level event coordination within a reputable hospitality environment. The role offers an annual salary range of $74,000 to $99,000 and includes bonus eligibility, reflecting the value placed on exceptional performance and dedication. The Event Manager is tasked with preparing all event documentation and is the key liaison coordinating efforts between the Sales department, various property teams, and customers to ensure seamless and high-quality service throughout all phases of an event—before, during, and after its execution.
The successful candidate will primarily handle complex events, demonstrating an ability to manage multitasking in a fast-paced and demanding setting. This role emphasizes the importance of customer experience, taking responsibility for managing client interactions from the point of file turnover through to the post-event phase and ensuring smooth communication back to the sales team. Recognizing and maximizing revenue opportunities through strategic upselling and enhancements is a critical aspect of the job, aligning business goals with outstanding event outcomes.
The Event Manager must have exceptional organizational skills, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to lead pre-event and post-event meetings effectively. Operational challenges are a frequent occurrence in event management, and this role requires working collaboratively with property staff and customers to devise and implement suitable solutions promptly. Maintaining strict adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures guarantees consistency and some degree of predictability in service delivery, contributing to customer satisfaction and loyalty.
The position includes managing group room blocks and meeting spaces, forecasting revenue, reviewing billing and payments, and serving as the primary customer contact during events. The Event Manager also plays a pivotal role in fostering an environment of teamwork, recognizing and celebrating team members' contributions, and setting a positive example in guest relations. This leadership role may also support or represent the Director of Event Management or Director of Event Planning and Operations when required.
Renaissance Hotels, under Marriott International, supports a culture of inclusion, equity, and diversity, valuing the unique backgrounds and experiences of all associates and guests. Team members are encouraged to bring their whole self to work, reflecting the adventurous and spontaneous spirit that characterizes the brand. Joining the Renaissance Dallas Hotel means becoming part of a global family devoted to career development, guest satisfaction, and community engagement.
