Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience in event management or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage budgets and revenue
  • Leadership and team collaboration skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Proficiency with event management software
  • Ability to work full time in Dallas, Texas
  • Willingness to participate in pre-event and post-event meetings
  • Ability to handle guest complaints and ensure satisfaction

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare all event documentation and coordinate with sales, property departments and customers
  • Handle complex events ensuring seamless service throughout pre-event, event and post-event phases
  • Lead pre-event and post-event meetings for assigned groups
  • Identify operational challenges and develop solutions with property staff and customers
  • Manage customer budgets to maximize revenue and meet customer needs
  • Oversee customer experience from file turnover through post-event phase
  • Manage group room blocks and meeting spaces for assigned groups
  • Adhere to all standards, policies and procedures
  • Celebrate successes and recognize team contributions
  • Up-sell products and services throughout event process
  • Participate in customer site inspections and assist with sales process
  • Act as liaison between field sales personnel and customers during event process
  • Manage revenue and profitability associated with events
  • Forecast group sleeping rooms and event revenue
  • Review billing and payments with clients
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
  • Handle guest problems and complaints
  • Maintain visible presence with customers throughout event process
  • Follow up with customers post-event
  • Greet customers during event phase and hand off to Event Operations team
  • Strive to improve service performance
  • Set positive example for guest relations
  • Review guest satisfaction results with associates
  • Coordinate and communicate verbally and in writing regarding event details
