Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive event planning experience in a full-service hotel or conference center environment
  • Strong background in handling large-scale and complex events
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel event systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or related field preferred
  • CMP certification a plus

  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel event systems (e.g., Envision, Delphi, or comparable software)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or related field preferred
  • CMP certification a plus

Job Duties

  • Manage all phases of event planning after business is booked by the Sales team, from pre-event coordination to on-site execution and post-event follow-up
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their vision is brought to life with precision and professionalism
  • Coordinate with internal teams including Banquets, Culinary, AV, Rooms Division, and Sales to ensure seamless event execution
  • Lead pre-convention meetings, site inspections, and post-event evaluations with clients and department heads
  • Develop detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), floor plans, and event timelines
  • Monitor event budgets and billing accuracy
  • review final invoices for approval
  • Mentor and train junior Event Planning Managers and Coordinators
  • serve as acting leader in the absence of the Director of Events
  • Identify upselling opportunities and support revenue-generating initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with Hyatt brand standards and local safety/health regulations
