The Senior Lead Engineer role at Citi's Credit Risk Technology Team presents an exciting opportunity for experienced engineers to join a specialized group focused on developing advanced software solutions for Counterparty Credit Risk Management. This team builds and maintains critical tools used by sales, traders, operations staff, and risk officers to manage Citi's exposure to financial institutions, governments, and corporates. The software platforms developed by this team encompass essential functions such as limit monitoring, exception management, stress testing analysis, and escalation workflows.

This senior leadership position is responsible for spearheading complex engineering initiatives across multiple technology domains, including Business Intelligence (BI) tools, Big Data platforms, Agentic Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML). The ideal candidate is a highly skilled full-stack developer with over 10 years of experience designing and developing scalable, robust applications. They will bring deep expertise in Java and J2EE technologies, cloud computing, and big data systems, coupled with hands-on experience using modern frameworks and deploying applications in containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes.

In this role, you will lead technical design and development efforts, ensuring adherence to scalable architectures and design patterns. You will directly contribute through hands-on coding, particularly around cutting-edge AI implementations, and mentor a global team of engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. Citi offers this role as a full-time position based in Rutherford, New Jersey, with a competitive salary range of $176,720 to $265,080 annually.
