The Senior Director, Operations at Option Care Health plays a critical leadership role overseeing the operational performance of multiple branches. This position is responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and efficient patient care across pharmacy dispensing and nursing operations. The Senior Director also spearheads market development initiatives and manages financial performance, including budgets exceeding $36 million in acute care settings. Travel for business purposes is expected up to 20% of the time, encompassing both in-state and out-of-state visits. The Senior Director, Operations will be responsible for overseeing multiple sites or a site with combined revenue exceeding $40 million, managing complex, matrixed teams, and delivering consistent high-quality patient service while maintaining stringent compliance standards. This role demands a proven track record in operations leadership, financial management including profit and loss responsibilities, and the capacity to lead continuous performance improvement efforts. Furthermore, the Senior Director will engage deeply in fostering a cohesive workforce, balancing operational priorities with employee development and organizational growth. The position holds supervisory responsibilities including hiring, performance reviews, promotions, discipline, and scheduling, emphasizing leadership excellence and team empowerment at every level.
Ideal candidates will hold at least a Bachelor’s degree with extensive experience in healthcare operations management, preferably supplemented by a Master’s Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration. Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Pharmacist (RPh) is highly desirable. Job Requirements

- Three years managing P&L including budget development
- Five years managing teams including hiring and performance management
- Ability to travel at least 20% for business purposes
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office

- Familiarity with healthcare compliance and accreditation regulations
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Eight years of experience in a position leading operations
- At least three years of experience managing a P&L including budget development
- Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Experience evaluating information to determine compliance with standards, laws, and regulations
- Basic level skill in Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- At least five years of experience directly managing people including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work
- Experience in leading team efforts within highly matrixed organizations
Job Duties
- Oversees operational performance of all assigned branches including efficient, effective and high quality delivery of services and patient care
- Ensures patient safety and satisfaction through all operations including pharmacy dispensing operations and nursing
- Ensures error proofing for pick, pack and ship operations
- Partners with Regional Director, Sales to drive market development and execute market based sales strategy
- Drives financial performance of all branches through supply chain/inventory optimization, managing controllable expenses, reducing bad debt (claims on hold) and accurate patient registration and onboarding
- Ensures compliance with local and federal regulations, accreditation standards and corporate policies to drive effectiveness and consistency in operations
- Builds a cohesive, service-oriented team through recruitment, training and development, engagement and retention of qualified team members
- Maintains a work environment in which staff will succeed and grow in their professional development and contribute to the overall success of Option Care
- Manage multiple locations or a single location with combined revenue over $40 million dollars

- Observes legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding the confidentiality of patient and proprietary Option Care data
- For accreditation, responsible for coordinating performance improvement (PI) activities including development and implementation, assisting in identification of goals and related client/patient outcomes, and coordinating, participating in and reporting of PI activities and outcomes
