R&D Partners is a global functional service provider and strategic staffing resource specializing in scientific, clinical research, and engineering. The company partners with major pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies to provide exceptional job opportunities and talent solutions across these highly specialized industries. With a strong focus on quality and professional development, R&D Partners stands as a trusted partner for organizations seeking skilled scientific and technical professionals to advance their research and development goals. They emphasize a collaborative work environment, inclusivity, and a commitment to equal employment opportunities, making them a respected name in the scientific staffing sector.
This particular opening is for a Senior Associate Scientist position based in San Carlos, California, and is offered as a 12-month contract opportunity. The role is lab-based, primarily focused on the analysis of vendor-supplied materials, functioning within a Quality Control laboratory environment. Individuals selected for this position will be expected to perform rigorous analytical testing using standard laboratory techniques such as colorimetric assays, gel electrophoresis (including SDS-PAGE), and liquid chromatography (notably HPLC). This role requires a detailed-oriented scientific professional with excellent organizational skills, the ability to communicate clearly, and a willingness to adhere strictly to established protocols and documentation standards.
In addition to performing analyses, the Senior Associate Scientist will support various lab operations including tracking shipping details for vendor-supplied samples, reviewing assay data for quality and compliance, and maintaining meticulous records related to analytical data and notebook entries. The role also involves contributing to scientific reports, certificates, and documentation that support ongoing process development initiatives within the company. Cross-functional collaboration is strongly encouraged to foster teamwork and align with broad organizational objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field with a minimum of five years of relevant industry experience, or a Master’s degree with at least three years in similar roles. Experience in analytical development or quality control environments is critical, with specific hands-on knowledge of colorimetric assays, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and SDS-PAGE required. The position provides a competitive salary range of $116,480 to $128,960, reflecting the expertise and responsibility involved in this position.
R&D Partners also offers employees a comprehensive benefits package that supports health, financial security, and work-life balance, including medical, dental, and vision insurance options, 401k retirement plans, employee assistance programs, and long-term disability coverage. Weekly payroll and systematized expense reimbursement processes contribute to a professional and employee-friendly work environment, enhanced by online timecard approval for convenience.
This role is perfect for a senior scientist looking to leverage their analytical skills in a structured and impactful position within a renowned staffing organization that values scientific excellence and employee welfare. Joining R&D Partners means becoming part of a global network dedicated to advancing scientific innovation while delivering quality staffing solutions and promoting an inclusive, supportive workplace culture.
