Security Officers at Harvard Protection Services perform routine patrols either on foot or by vehicle, ensuring the security of designated areas. They are tasked with monitoring alarms and security systems, preparing detailed reports on accidents, incidents, or suspicious activities as required by supervisors. This role requires excellent interpersonal communication skills and a neat, professional appearance to effectively interact with diverse populations within the facility. High attention to detail is critical, especially when observing departing personnel to prevent theft or unauthorized removal of property. Job Duties

  • Maintain a professional demeanor aiding customers employees visitors and guests

  • know the facility building policies and procedures enforce them within the limits of the position
  • perform required patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
  • observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate customer requirements
  • follow established emergency action planning and procedures

  • prepare reports on accidents incidents and suspicious activities as directed
