The Microbulk CDL B Driver position at Airgas is based in Dallas, TX, specifically at the Joe Field Rd location within the Bulk Cryo logistics division. This role is a second shift opportunity with a start time of 1:30 pm and can last up to 12 hours per day, working Sunday through Thursday. The position offers a competitive wage of $26.00 per hour and involves operating a Class B vehicle equipped with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. The route covers Dallas and extends to a radius of over 250 miles, requiring dependable delivery and transportation skills.
This role is integral to Airgas National Carbonation, a division dedicated to providing efficient beverage carbonation supply, installation, and servicing, with a strong focus on CO2 and specialty gases. Although prior experience with CO2 or specialty gases is advantageous, it is not mandatory, as the company values dedication and the ability to learn on the job. Job Requirements
- Valid Class B CDL with Hazmat, tanker and airbrake endorsements
- Maintain current driver's license and medical card
- No more than two traffic convictions or at-fault accidents in last 3 years
- No driving under influence of alcohol or controlled substances in last 7 years
- Ability to work in a drug-free environment
- Ability to lift 75 lbs regularly and move 125 lbs with material handling aid
- At least 1 year of CDL driving experience in last 5 years or certificate from trucking school completed in last 5 years
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
- Ability to maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card, and endorsements
- Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience within the last 5 years or proof of trucking school completion
- Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
- Forklift and pallet jack certification preferred
- Experience with CO2 delivery preferred
- Experience handling multiple delivery stops
- Ability to lift 75 lbs regularly and move more than 125 lbs with equipment
Job Duties
- Operate Class B commercial vehicle with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements safely and efficiently
- Transport gases and related products within Dallas and a 250+ mile radius
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulatory requirements for hazardous materials handling
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance
- Manage delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely arrivals
- Load and unload materials using material handling equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery and shipment documentation
