Job Description

Intuit is a leading financial software company renowned for its innovative products designed to empower individuals and businesses globally. The company focuses on creating easy-to-use tools and software that simplify complex financial tasks, including tax preparation, accounting, and budgeting. Among its flagship products is TurboTax, a widely trusted and popular tax preparation software used by millions of customers each year. Intuit's mission is "Powering Prosperity Around the World," and it achieves this by offering intuitive financial solutions that help users make smarter financial decisions and achieve their economic goals.

TurboTax Stores are physical locations where customers can receive expert tax help in person, combining the convenience of digital software with personalized service. Intuit is currently expanding its network of TurboTax Stores across the United States, creating new opportunities for tax professionals to engage dynamically with their communities while leveraging powerful software platforms.

The role of Tax Associate - TurboTax Store is a unique opportunity offered on a seasonal and year-round basis, designed for motivated tax experts who thrive in a community-oriented environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. As a Tax Associate, you will work on-site at one of the TurboTax Store locations and serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for TurboTax within your local community. This role is essential for driving customer engagement, building long-term relationships, and expanding TurboTax's client base.

Your responsibilities will include serving clients both in-person and virtually, utilizing TurboTax software to deliver full tax preparation services and expert tax advice. You will guide customers through their tax situations, which may range from simple personal returns to more complex filings involving business income, deductions optimization, and tax amendments. Your expertise will help customers minimize their tax liabilities, maximize refunds, and develop future tax planning strategies to improve their financial wellbeing.

Intuit supports Tax Associates with marketing resources that help generate leads and foster community involvement, such as leading local events and creating accessible tax educational content. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset and a genuine desire to connect with customers on a personal level to alleviate the stress often associated with tax filing. Working at a TurboTax Store offers the chance to make a tangible difference in your community by educating and empowering individuals to navigate their finances confidently.

The position requires working onsite at a TurboTax retail or flagship location within the United States. Hours are flexible but expect a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week, with schedules that may adapt based on customer demand peaks. Compensation is competitive and varies by location, with hourly rates ranging approximately from $22.00 to $28.50, plus eligibility for performance bonuses, equity rewards, and benefits. Intuit also emphasizes pay equity and inclusivity across its workforce.

Ideal candidates will hold active, unrestricted credentials such as EA, CPA, or be a practicing attorney with strong tax experience and knowledge of tax laws. Familiarity with tax preparation software and Circular 230 regulations is crucial. The role values strong communication skills, comfort with technology, and an enthusiastic approach to community engagement. Bilingual capabilities, especially English and Spanish, are a plus.

Joining Intuit as a Tax Associate means becoming part of a forward-thinking company dedicated to innovation, community impact, and professional growth. This position offers a combination of technical expertise, entrepreneurial activity, and customer service in a supportive environment with a well-known brand backing your success.
