The role being offered is a seasonal Housekeeper position spanning March 2026 through July 2026, paying an hourly rate between $17.00 and $18.00. Housekeepers at RESET Joshua Tree play a crucial role in creating exceptional guest experiences by maintaining the cleanliness, order, and comfort of guest rooms and public areas. This hands-on position requires attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and a commitment to safety and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include cleaning guest rooms thoroughly using designated chemicals according to OSHA and hotel standards, managing laundry operations including washers and dryers, and adhering to the company’s Lost and Found and Key Control policies.
Housekeepers are expected to work with minimal supervision while demonstrating courtesy and cooperation with guests and colleagues alike. Physical stamina is essential given the demands of cleaning multiple rooms per shift and handling bulky linens and equipment. Job Requirements
- Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, and cooperativeness
- Ability to exert physical effort consistent with cleaning an industry standard number of rooms per shift
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and use of equipment
- Ability to endure working area of high temperatures with accumulations of lint
- Ability to exert physical effort in the movement of bundles of soiled or cleaned bed linens and terry into and out of laundry machines
- Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance
- Must be courteous and friendly with guests and co-workers
- Ability to move at least 90% of the time and lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to push or pull a vacuum and wheeled cart weighing up to 100 lbs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience in hospitality is a plus
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling and cleaning techniques
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain speed and accuracy
- Physical stamina to clean approximately 16-18 standard rooms per shift
- Ability to handle guest interactions with courtesy and professionalism
- Basic understanding of safety standards and equipment handling
- Effective communication skills for coordination with other departments
Job Duties
- Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements
- Transport cart with cleaning supplies, amenities and linens to assigned guest room and position securely
- Properly and thoroughly clean guest rooms including emptying trash, replacing linens, cleaning bathrooms and dusting furniture
- Vacuum rooms, spray deodorizer and replenish coffee maker set
- Update room cleaning status and restock cart at end of shift
- Handle guest complaints professionally ensuring guest satisfaction
- Report damages or maintenance issues and communicate with other departments
- Operate laundry machinery including washers and dryers following health and safety regulations
- Sort and bundle soiled linens, fold laundry, and maintain cleanliness of laundry and storage areas
- Assist with cleaning of common areas and public restrooms
- Maintain security of guest room keys and adhere to Lost and Found and Key Control policies
- Attend mandatory meetings and perform cross-training as directed
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas, report hazardous conditions immediately
