The Production Lead will collaborate closely with the Food Service Director to ensure that all food served meets the highest standards of quality, seasoning, nutrition, and safety. This position is vital in maintaining the integrity and smooth operation of the dining services program and requires a team-oriented professional dedicated to supporting the kitchen's success.

The Production Lead will be responsible for preparing food items according to established recipes and menus while preserving freshness, quality, and visual appeal. They must also implement safe food handling techniques consistently, utilizing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Storage practices involving correct labeling and dating of food items must be adhered to rigorously.

This role involves batch cooking to prevent overproduction or shortages, and meticulous record-keeping in cooperation with the Chef Manager, tracking food usage, overages, shortages, and customer counts. Maintaining accurate logs for food temperatures, cooling procedures, and equipment functioning is also a critical component. The Production Lead assists with training new and existing staff, ensuring team members are knowledgeable about the menu items’ names, descriptions, allergens, and flavor profiles to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.

Operational responsibilities may include properly opening and closing the kitchen when required, and timely communication regarding food production needs, equipment functionality, and overall kitchen operation to supervisors. The position demands physical stamina, including lifting items up to 25 lbs, handling inventory, and enduring varied environmental conditions such as hot, humid, or cold temperatures. Extended work hours may sometimes be necessary to meet operational demands.

Creative Dining offers competitive pay combined with opportunities for bonuses, an employee assistance program, paid time off, and additional benefits reflective of their commitment to supporting their workforce.
