Job Description

Green Tree Country Club is a premier private country club offering a variety of recreational and social amenities to its members, including golf courses, dining facilities, swimming pools, and event spaces. Known for its family-friendly environment and exceptional service standards, the club serves as a central hub for community and member engagement through seasonal events, activities, and quality facilities. The club prides itself on maintaining a welcoming atmosphere where members can enjoy a diverse range of leisure opportunities in a beautifully maintained setting. Green Tree Country Club is committed to excellence in hospitality and fostering an engaging, inclusive environment for families and individuals alike.

The Seasonal Food & Beverage Pool Café Manager plays a vital leadership role at the club during the busy summer months, managing all aspects of the pool café’s food and beverage operations. This seasonal position runs from May (weekends only until Memorial Day Weekend) through September, and is essential for ensuring that members and their guests receive outstanding service in a family-oriented, lively poolside setting. As the Pool Café Manager, you will oversee a team of seasonal staff, develop operational strategies, and uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. Your work will directly impact the member experience by delivering a memorable, enjoyable poolside dining environment that enhances the overall club experience.

This role requires a balance of hospitality expertise, leadership skills, and operational management. The Pool Café is much more than just a food outlet; it serves as a significant revenue center and a touchpoint of the Green Tree brand, contributing to member engagement and satisfaction. You will be responsible for building effective team schedules that align with business volume and labor cost targets, coaching staff to maintain excellent service standards, and leading daily meetings to motivate and inform your team. Financial management is a key component of the role, including monitoring sales, labor, and inventory costs, and implementing upselling and promotional initiatives to boost revenue.

Health and safety compliance is a top priority, as you will ensure all local health regulations and food safety standards are strictly followed, including maintaining ServSafe certification among your team. The role also involves collaborating with the Culinary department to maintain consistent product quality and coordinating efforts for themed events and promotions that engage the club’s family membership base. This seasonal position is ideally suited for someone passionate about hospitality and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic outdoor environment. It offers a unique opportunity for teachers, coaches, and hospitality professionals to lead a high-impact team while contributing meaningfully to the club’s summer vibrancy and member delight.
