We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Room Service Host to join our Food and Beverage team on a full-time basis. This non-management position plays a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience by efficiently taking and processing room service orders over the phone. The Room Service Host will serve as a vital point of contact, offering detailed information about menu selections, including wine offerings, and responding thoughtfully to guest inquiries and special requests. They also act as a liaison between guests and kitchen staff, ensuring that dietary needs, allergies, and any additional meal requirements are communicated clearly and accurately.
This position requires a high degree of attentiveness and professionalism, as the Room Service Host manages order placement, logs call backs, monitors service delivery times, and notifies both guests and management of any delays. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment is essential, as is accurately recording orders and processing payments through the MICROS system.
The role demands adherence to Marriott International’s rigorous safety and security protocols, encouraging team members to report any unsafe conditions promptly and participate actively in safety training. This position offers a pay rate of $16.90 per hour and includes eligibility for tips. Job Duties
- take room service orders over the phone
- answer questions on menu selections and check with kitchen staff
- answer guest questions or concerns regarding wines
- place and log callbacks for room service orders
- notify guests and management of delays in service delivery
- communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
- maintain cleanliness of work areas
- record transactions in MICROS system at time of order
- complete all closing reports including MICROS reports
- process all payment methods
- follow company safety and security policies
- report unsafe conditions and complete safety training
