The Guest Service Associate role at Towne Park is a dynamic and essential position focused on offering outstanding hospitality to guests. This seasonal position involves multiple responsibilities primarily revolving around vehicle valet services and guest assistance. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the state applied to work or within a commutable distance
- At least one month of related experience or training
- Ability to safely and cautiously operate vehicles
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and stand or walk for extended periods
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Seasonal availability for AM/PM shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or commutable distance
- One month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively one-on-one and in small groups
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with units of American money
- Understanding of 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to elapsed time
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using last names and a professional attitude
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper phone etiquette and post in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and facility amenities as well as local attractions
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
- Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys
- Collect claim checks from guests prior to issuing keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tags, guest folios, vehicle locations, damage surveys and claim check receipts
- Calculate and collect parking revenue when needed
