Encore's core mission is to create memorable event experiences by utilizing top-tier audiovisual technology and expert service.

The Seasonal Audio-Visual Technician role at Encore is a full-time position designed to support event technology operations primarily within hospitality venues such as hotels and convention centers. This seasonal opportunity is anticipated to last through May 2027 and offers a robust compensation package that includes an hourly wage between $15.00 and $18.48, overtime eligibility, full-time benefits, and hands-on training aimed at professional development. The technician will report to leadership roles such as an Operations Manager, Operations Director, or Director of Event Technology. This role offers a unique blend of technical work and customer interaction, providing exposure to various audiovisual systems and event setups in dynamic environments.

The primary responsibility of the Seasonal Technician is to ensure the smooth setup, execution, and breakdown of audiovisual equipment during events, guaranteeing client satisfaction with technical support and service quality. This involves working closely with customers to understand and fulfill their audiovisual requirements onsite, maintaining clear and positive communication throughout the event lifecycle. The technician is expected to be proficient in troubleshooting equipment and software issues and adapting quickly to any challenges that arise during live events. Additionally, payment processes and order entries using internal systems are part of the job, providing a holistic view of event management beyond the technical tasks.

This role demands physical stamina as it requires lifting and carrying equipment up to at least 50 pounds, working on ladders, and long hours of standing or walking in varied environments that range from quiet indoor settings to more active, noisy venues. The technician must also be safety conscious and uphold Encore’s standards of professionalism and appearance, reflecting the company’s emphasis on delivering world-class service. Qualified candidates typically possess a high school diploma, with associates degrees preferred, and have prior hospitality or audiovisual experience. A valid driver’s license and the ability to complete required training and certifications within two months of employment are also mandatory.

Overall, the Seasonal Audio-Visual Technician position at Encore presents an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in technology and hospitality to build valuable skills in a well-supported, inclusive work environment.
