The Seasonal Audio-Visual Technician position at Encore is a full-time seasonal role with an anticipated conclusion date in May 2027. This role is integral to the successful execution and delivery of audiovisual services in hospitality settings such as hotels and convention centers. The technician is primarily responsible for the setup, operation, and breakdown of basic to small-scale audiovisual equipment required for events, ensuring that all technical aspects run seamlessly to maximize customer satisfaction. Reporting directly to an Operations Manager, Operations Director, or Director of Event Technology, this position requires a hands-on approach in managing event technology and client interactions.

In this role, technicians work closely with internal teams and clients to execute flawlessly managed events. Responsibilities include engaging with clients onsite before and during events to guarantee all audiovisual equipment is functioning appropriately and any technical challenges are promptly addressed. The technician’s duties also encompass equipment troubleshooting, problem-solving, revenue enhancement through upselling techniques, and accurate order processing and invoicing in company systems. Beyond technical expertise, the role demands excellent interpersonal skills to maintain positive client relationships and deliver a superior hospitality experience.

Seasonal Audio-Visual Technicians benefit from full-time employment perks, including comprehensive benefits and overtime opportunities. The position offers valuable on-the-job training aimed at supporting career advancement. Depending on performance and business needs, there may be opportunities to reapply for future roles within Encore, making this a promising entry point for those interested in a sustainable career in event technology and hospitality services. The hourly pay range for this position spans from $15.00 to $18.48, with final compensation influenced by location, travel, and relevant experience.

The work environment involves exposure to varying noise levels typical of hotel and event venues, use of sophisticated audio-visual equipment, and occasional exposure to outdoor elements such as dirt and dust. Physical requirements include lifting, carrying, and operating equipment, often involving extended periods of standing, walking, and other physical activities. Team members must adhere to Encore's appearance standards and may be required to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
