The role of Bartender at Safe Harbor Marinas primarily serves patrons at the Pool Bar and the upstairs Latitude 26 Restaurant. This seasonal position involves preparing tables, greeting customers, taking and delivering orders, processing payments, washing dishes, and ensuring cleanliness throughout the restaurant and bar area after service. Bartenders are expected to possess extensive knowledge of liquor mixed drinks, beer, and wine, and must consistently provide an excellent customer service experience to Members and guests. The position requires quick thinking, situational awareness, and the ability to anticipate guest needs to maintain a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Previous restaurant or bar experience is essential to succeed in this fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Bartenders must work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required and adhere to SHM's safety and environmental regulations. Physical demands include standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing various physical movements such as bending and reaching. Job Duties
- Greet all guests in a friendly and welcoming manner
- create an atmosphere that allows guests to feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed
- take accurate food and drink orders
- adhere to cocktail recipes and deliver consistent quality at the bar
- check identification to ensure customers are of legal age to consume alcohol
- assist back of house with dish duty continually during shift
- clean floors and tables after each shift is completed
- ensure entire bar area is clean at the end of each shift
- process payments efficiently and accurately, as well as balance register
- available to work weekends, holidays and overtime when required
- other duties as assigned by Manager
