Job Description
Pacific Hospitality Group is a family-focused hotel and hospitality company that stands out in the industry with its unique owner/operator approach. This strategy not only emphasizes investment value but also prioritizes the growth and development of its team members. As a company deeply committed to long-term holds, Pacific Hospitality Group fosters sustainable growth and value creation, providing an enriching and supportive environment that promotes continuous development for both its business and employees. Their vision revolves around creating memorable guest experiences, giving back to the community, and honoring God through ethical business practices. Upholding core guiding principles such as integrity, compliance, value creation, principled entrepreneurship, customer focus, knowledge, change, humility, respect, and fulfillment, the company has built a reputation for excellent hospitality service and comprehensive employee care.
The role offered is that of a Dining Room Attendant, an essential position that plays a critical part in ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment for guests. This is an hourly position with a pay rate of $16.90 per hour. The Dining Room Attendant’s responsibilities are varied but focused on maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and efficiency within the dining areas. This involves meticulously cleaning and setting tables and booths, continuously managing the flow of dishware between the dining room and kitchen, and ensuring that guests have an enjoyable and comfortable dining experience. The role requires adherence to food handling, sanitation, and safety policies including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and compliance with OSHA laws. Employees are trained in PPE usage and must report any equipment issues to maintain a safe environment.
The Dining Room Attendant also supports the rhythm of dinner service by promptly clearing dishware, replenishing condiments, and maintaining clean and inviting surroundings throughout the shift. Attention to guest needs, including ensuring water glasses remain full, forms an integral part of the guest experience. The role demands punctuality, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset since these factors directly contribute to smooth operations and overall guest satisfaction. Furthermore, the position values discretion, especially as interactions with guests may sometimes involve sensitive information, reinforcing the need for professionalism and strong communication skills.
This position encourages candidates with prior food service experience, basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. An ability to work well within a team and maintain clear, polite, and effective communication is essential. While possession of a current Food Handlers Card is ideal, the company supports and expects new hires to obtain this credential within 30 days of employment if not already held. Pacific Hospitality Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, ensuring a workplace free from discrimination on any protected grounds. This role offers a chance to join a company centered on long-term values, professional growth, and community enrichment, and perfect for individuals enthusiastic about hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
