The schools emphasize a classical education model that integrates rigorous academics with the development of critical thinking, leadership skills, and a love of learning. Staff and administration work collaboratively to cultivate bright, curious minds and achieve award-winning results, supported by a culture that uplifts, encourages, and celebrates success within each campus community.
This multifaceted Food Service Manager position at Legacy Traditional Schools plays a vital role in supporting the campus with the highest needs by overseeing daily operations of the Food Service Team. The role requires flexibility and a hands-on approach, as you will perform a variety of duties from food preparation and cooking to cashiering and managing inventory. You will lead the team to adhere to strict food safety guidelines, ensure the quality and presentation of meals, maintain accurate inventory levels, and provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and parents alike. The position demands a supportive and proactive leader who can cover multiple roles within the kitchen, assist with staff training, and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
Working at Legacy Traditional Schools means being part of a dedicated team focused on enriching the educational experiences and health of students. The position involves operational oversight that includes managing food orders, monitoring critical control points in compliance with HACCP standards, and enforcing standard operating procedures. You will assist in maintaining financial controls, reconciling daily cash transactions, and fostering a cooperative relationship with school administrators and community members. This role is both dynamic and rewarding, providing opportunities for professional growth within a school system renowned for its supportive work culture and commitment to employee success.
This is a full-time role with a schedule requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, typically from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, including a 30-minute lunch. Employment may be for 10 months or year-round, depending on campus needs. In addition to competitive pay, employees at Legacy Traditional Schools enjoy exceptional benefits including comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, referral bonuses, discounted onsite childcare, priority student enrollment, and retirement plans. The organization invests heavily in employee growth through training, mentoring, tuition reimbursement, and clear pathways for advancement.
Beyond the operational responsibilities, Legacy Traditional Schools is committed to fostering a positively charged work environment where collaboration, respect, and continual improvement are core values. If you are passionate about education and want to contribute to a culture that ignites the best in students and staff alike, this Food Service Manager position offers a unique chance to align your career goals with an impactful mission.
