The Side Cook works under the guidance of the Executive Chef or Manager-on-Duty, responsible for preparing all potatoes, vegetables, and hot appetizer items. Job Requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States
- High school diploma or G.E.D
- Minimum one year back of house kitchen experience
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Effective communication skills
- Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
- Successful completion of training program
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D
- Minimum of one year experience in a restaurant back of house kitchen environment
- Ability to perform measurement conversions on recipes
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Advanced knowledge of kitchen stations and cooking methods
- Attention to detail
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Excellent communication skills

- Completion of restaurant training program
- Preferred SERV Safe certification
Job Duties
- Report to work on time and in proper uniform
- Correctly season, cook, and plate all side station food products
- Complete all station closing duties and assist in kitchen cleanliness
- Maintain sanitation and food safety standards in the work area
- Foster communication and teamwork within the restaurant
- Check stock and par levels before shifts and communicate discrepancies
- Restock food items and supplies throughout the shift
- Prepare all food according to company recipes and standards
- Set up the side station with all necessary items
- Communicate and coordinate with the broiler cook for timely food preparation
- Adhere to safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions
