The role of a Sanitation Porter at Stratas Foods is a full-time position offering a very competitive wage of $20.24 per hour. The Sanitation Porter is a vital part of the production department, responsible for maintaining clean and orderly work environments to ensure a safe and hygienic facility. The role involves rigorous responsibilities aligned with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety protocols, and regulatory requirements, placing food safety at the forefront. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing production floors, removing trash and food waste, operating floor cleaning equipment, and maintaining cleanliness in loading docks and entryways. The Sanitation Porter is also expected to support special cleaning projects during plant shutdowns or as directed and to follow chemical handling procedures accurately. This position requires physical activity such as lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing stairs, bending, kneeling, standing for long periods, working in confined spaces, and at heights.
