This particular position is based at a facility that specializes in producing Corn Dogs, operating six days a week and catering to a consistent demand from customers. The role is hourly and offers a starting wage of $21.95 per hour with an additional $0.90 shift premium for those working the 3rd shift. Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson Foods must observe a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to three re-employments.

The Production Machine Operator role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of multiple production machine equipment such as Blenders, Cookers, Fryers, Mixers, and Packing Machines. This job requires hands-on responsibility for operating, cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and maintaining production machinery to guarantee product quality and safety. The operator will need to disassemble machines for cleaning and sanitizing, adhere to strict safety procedures including Lock Out Tag Out processes, and contribute to maintaining a clean and orderly work environment. Physical stamina is important as the position involves standing for long periods, working in varying temperatures, and performing repetitive physical movements.

This role also requires effective coordination with other departments to maximize equipment uptime and ensure efficient production workflows. Team members must wear appropriate personal protective equipment and uniforms as mandated by company and GMP standards. The successful candidate will receive Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification, enhancing their ability to contribute across various operational aspects. Job Requirements

  • Ability to push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to stand on hard surfaces for up to 12 hours per day
  • Must work in cold and hot temperatures ranging from 45 to 75 degrees
  • Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing, and pulling
  • Ability to reach high and low levels frequently
  • Ability to climb step ladders or stairs
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends
  • Must obtain Lock Out Tag Out certification
  • Prior experience as a machine operator for at least 3 months
  • Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Willingness and ability to perform physical job requirements with or without accommodation

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Operate and sanitize production equipment such as blenders, cookers, fryers, mixers, and packing machines and other equipment as assigned
  • Inspect and monitor product quality
  • Disassemble equipment for cleaning, sanitizing work areas, and setting up equipment for inspection and start-up
  • Breakdown and set-up equipment when needed
  • Clean assigned equipment in safe and accurate manner using high-pressure hoses
  • Use chemical cleaners to foam and clean all areas of production
  • Examine machine parts and components for excessive wear
  • Prepare equipment and machines for reassembly after cleaning
  • Ensure replaced guards are properly fitted
  • Follow USDA and Quality Control regulations
  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments to optimize equipment utilization
  • Wear personal protective equipment as required
  • Maintain neat and orderly work area with proper chemical storage and disposal
  • Carry out Lock Out Tag Out responsibilities for safety
  • Obtain Powered Industrial Truck certification
