Job Description
Aramark is a global leader in food and facilities management, serving millions of guests daily across 15 countries. Known for its commitment to service and sustainability, Aramark focuses on delivering exceptional experiences to its clients, partners, and communities. The company prides itself on fostering an inclusive work environment where employees can grow professionally while contributing positively to society and the planet. With a mission rooted in service excellence and unified purpose, Aramark emphasizes equal employment opportunities and values diversity in the workplace, ensuring a respectful and supportive culture for all its team members.
The Sanitation Manager role at Aramark is a pivotal position within the food manufacturing sector, responsible for overseeing and directing all sanitation operations to meet rigorous industry standards. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $70,000 annually, reflecting Aramark’s commitment to rewarding expertise and dedication. The Sanitation Manager reports directly to the District Manager and plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with FDA, USDA, GMP, and HACCP guidelines, ensuring that food safety and cleanliness meet both regulatory requirements and client expectations.
In this role, the manager will plan, coordinate, and monitor sanitation activities across the facility, working closely with multiple departments to ensure smooth operations. Key responsibilities include developing master sanitation schedules, establishing operational KPIs such as sanitation effectiveness and safety performance, and leading a sanitation workforce through daily planning and monitoring. The position demands a strategic thinker who can drive continuous improvements via regular facility inspections and enforce food safety culture through strict adherence to sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs).
The candidate will also be instrumental in managing sanitation chemicals, inventory, and supply chain logistics, contributing to budget management, forecasting, and cost optimization initiatives. As the primary liaison between facility operations and clients, the Sanitation Manager ensures outstanding customer service and audit readiness, including preparation for internal, customer, and third-party inspections such as SQF and BRC. The role requires a proactive leader who promotes safety standards compliant with OSHA regulations and encourages safe work practices including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Furthermore, the Sanitation Manager will support capital projects and facility upgrades, guiding them from planning stages through execution to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste. This comprehensive role blends leadership, operational expertise, and financial acumen, ideally suited for candidates with 3 to 5+ years of progressive experience in sanitation within food production or manufacturing environments. A bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred, along with demonstrated skills in project management, budgeting, and team development.
Joining Aramark means becoming part of a company that values your professional growth and provides a range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k) retirement savings plans, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and various work/life resources. This is an excellent opportunity for a sanitation professional eager to contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced organization committed to quality, compliance, and innovation in food safety and facilities management.
