The role of Sanitation Technician with ABM offers an opportunity to join a contract sanitation services team at large food manufacturing facilities. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of production environments, which is vital for compliance with food safety regulations and overall plant efficiency. Sanitation Technicians are responsible for both wet and dry cleaning methods applied to production lines, silos, shipping areas, and other facility zones including manufacturing equipment, machinery, offices, canteens, and bathrooms. The role demands strict adherence to ABM’s Sanitation Program and compliance with all food safety and workplace safety guidelines. Tasks include disassembling, cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembling equipment, performing routine cleaning of floors and office areas, and maintaining the overall sanitation program through accurate implementation of the Master Cleaning Schedule. Sanitation Technicians perform daily equipment inspections, report issues to leadership, and promote safety and health awareness within their teams. Familiarity with chemical types, labeling, protective equipment, and safety protocols such as Lock Out Tag Out and confined space regulations is essential for success in this role. Flexibility in work hours and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks under varying environmental conditions are also expected.

The company is committed to equal opportunity employment and actively encourages veterans and candidates with military backgrounds to apply, reflecting ABM’s military-friendly workplace culture. This position offers a career path in a globally recognized company with support for personal and professional growth, an excellent benefits program, and a chance to contribute to safe and clean food manufacturing environments.
