This role is pivotal in delivering delicious and thoughtfully prepared sandwiches and salads that cater to various dietary preferences including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and meat-based options. The Sandwich Maker is responsible for selecting fresh ingredients with care and assembling sandwiches and salads in a neat, swift, and appealing manner. This position involves working with both made-to-order stations and our grab-and-go case, ensuring that guests receive fresh and tasty food either in the café or to take home.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and takes pride in accommodating guest requests accurately and efficiently. They are detail-oriented, ensuring the salad bar and soup station are always abundant, spotless, appropriately labeled, and stocked with the freshest ingredients. The Sandwich Maker must coordinate inventory management by maintaining prep lists and par levels and effectively communicate with the Chef, Managers, and Culinary Director. Beyond technical skills, this role demands a positive attitude, enthusiasm for food, and the ability to bring energy and warmth to the kitchen and broader Healthy Living community. This position offers part-time or full-time hours, including weekend availability, with competitive pay starting at $17.00 per hour plus tips, and consideration for previous experience. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Ability to work weekends and flexible hours

Job Duties
- Select each ingredient with care and assemble each sandwich and salad thoughtfully, neatly and swiftly
- Go above and beyond to accommodate guest requests
- Respect the guest's need for speedy and accurate service
- Take great pride in the salad bar and soup station, making sure they are abundant, spotless, labeled with correct signage and full of only the freshest ingredients
- Maintain prep lists, pars and ingredients for both the self serve salad bar and made to order sandwich station
- Be a team player and always communicate their needs to the Chef, Managers, and Culinary Director
- Bring a beaming and bright attitude to the kitchen on a daily basis and infuse that energy into the food and into the Healthy Living community
