Known for its exceptional service, upscale amenities, and beautiful ocean views, this resort offers a unique blend of tranquility and vibrant energy that attracts guests from around the world. As a member of Hyatt’s independent collection, the resort is dedicated to providing a luxury lifestyle experience that emphasizes personalized service and memorable guest interactions. The resort's commitment to excellence extends not only to its guests but also to its team members, fostering an empowered, supportive, creative, and energetic work environment that encourages professional growth and success.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Group Sales Manager to join our dynamic sales and events team. This role is central to driving the resort’s group sales efforts, focusing on building and maintaining long-term relationships within the assigned geographical market. The Group Sales Manager will be responsible for selling guest rooms, meeting spaces, and various Hyatt services to customer groups, managing accounts, conducting site inspections, and generating new business opportunities. This position combines strategic sales initiatives with hands-on client engagement, requiring the ability to develop and execute detailed, thoughtful proposals tailored to client needs.

A successful candidate will lead by example, fostering collaboration within the sales and events department and supporting team initiatives. This position requires a blend of both onsite presence at the Oceanside resort for site visits, client meetings, and internal collaborations, as well as remote work capabilities. The Group Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in maximizing revenue by proactively soliciting national and local corporate business, strategically negotiating contract terms, and ensuring smooth communication throughout the event planning cycle.

This role is ideal for an experienced sales professional with a proven track record in hotel sales, particularly within upscale or luxury settings. The Group Sales Manager must be adept at understanding market trends, competitive positioning, and seasonality to effectively yield business and maximize the property’s market share. Reporting directly to the Director of Group Sales, this individual must possess excellent organizational skills, a high level of energy, and strong communication abilities to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $76,800 to $99,750 annually, with exact compensation based on factors such as experience and education. In addition to a rewarding career opportunity, Hyatt provides an attractive benefits package that supports work-life balance and employee well-being. Benefits include 12 complimentary hotel room nights at Hyatt hotels worldwide, unlimited discounted room rates for colleagues and their friends and family, bereavement and jury duty pay, various leave options including vacation and sick leave, comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, a retirement savings plan with employer matching (401K), an employee stock purchase plan, complimentary employee meals, and many additional perks.

If you are a passionate sales leader who thrives in a luxury hospitality environment and seeks an opportunity to make a significant impact within a respected resort, we invite you to apply and become part of The Seabird Ocean Resort & Spa / Mission Pacific Beach Resort team.
