The Sales Manager position at Lal Hospitality Group is a dynamic and hands-on role central to driving the companys growth in revenue across all properties. As a pivotal player working closely with senior management, the Sales Manager will take the lead in developing, establishing, and implementing strategic sales initiatives aimed at maximizing profit and enhancing the brands market presence. This position involves a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including active solicitation of sales through prospecting various lead sources, conducting on-site tours, negotiating contracts, and efficiently managing follow-ups and proposals. The role also requires participating in local and regional wedding fairs and other event marketing opportunities to maintain a constant pipeline of potential clients. In addition, the Sales Manager will conduct regular market research to keep Lals event packages competitive and appealing to the destination wedding and events market.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years sales experience in luxury property destination market

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred in marketing, communications, hospitality, event or meeting planning or equivalent hospitality experience
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience in luxury property destination market with catering and banquet sales experience
  • Experience in soliciting new business and contract negotiation
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Aisle Planner, Salesforce, Google Drive/Sheets
  • Valid California Food Handler Certificate
  • Current ABC-approved California Responsible Beverage Server Training Certificate
  • Valid California Drivers License with satisfactory driving record
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, organizational, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Professional appearance adhering to department dress code

Job Duties

  • Effectively contract events including weddings, social events, corporate events and more to meet or exceed revenue goals
  • Actively solicit business through prospecting, cold calling, and sales calls
  • Conduct property tours for prospective clients and generate contracts and invoices
  • Maintain organized and timely follow-up on leads, proposals, and contracts
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and projects to increase revenue
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts and bookings in PipeDrive CRM
  • Oversee event planning and coordination including client BEOs
  • Hire, train, schedule, and manage event coordination and banquet staff
  • Attend local and regional wedding and event shows to generate sales
  • Collaborate with departments in event planning and vendor management
  • Expand and develop sales platforms
  • Assist in tracking marketing plan productivity
  • Monitor and report sales activities and results
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness standards on property
  • Communicate guest needs and concerns to management
  • Complete projects with clear communication
  • Assist marketing team with graphic design and social media content
  • Take photos and videos for marketing
  • Coordinate with external photographers and videographers
  • Foster a collaborative team environment
  • Oversee communication of event needs to departments
  • Assist Coordination team with event production details
  • Manage events from sale to completion
  • Ensure coordination and banquet teams are prepared for event execution
  • Coordinate with vendors on event day
  • Ensure client requests are met for memorable experiences
  • Perform other tasks as requested by management
