We are currently hiring for the position of Sales Manager. This role is pivotal in driving the hotel's revenue goals by soliciting, selling, and contracting rooms within assigned markets, in alignment with transient demand patterns and existing group business. The Sales Manager will be responsible for strategically maintaining and growing relationships with existing accounts while actively soliciting new group sales accounts to maximize both occupancy and related revenues. The position requires a professional with a keen understanding of the hospitality sales environment, capable of creating and executing dynamic sales strategies tailored to meet and exceed revenue targets.
The Sales Manager will play a key role in coordinating with different hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and operational efficiency. This includes preparing sales proposals, engaging in telephone prospecting, site inspections, and attending trade shows and industry events to expand the hotel’s market presence. The role demands excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively close contracts and manage client relations. Additionally, the Sales Manager will be involved in forecasting, analyzing local market trends, and creatively marketing hotel space to optimize revenue potential.

Job Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- bachelor’s degree preferred
- one to two years of experience in hotel and/or conference center sales or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to use computer programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, property management system, sales software, timekeeping system
- good communication skills verbal and written
- ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- knowledge of sales techniques and revenue management
- able to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Create and execute strategic sales plans to identify, attract, and retain business
- solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections, and written communication
- attend trade shows, industry meetings, and community events
- travel overnight for business-related activities as needed
- prepare sales proposals, meet with and entertain clients as appropriate
- respond skillfully to incoming leads and maximize conversion
- analyze and manage business opportunities for highest profit margins
- maintain knowledge of local market trends, competition, and key hotel accounts
- creatively sell available hotel space to maximize revenue
- negotiate and finalize contracts within approved guidelines
- ensure proper usage and accurate data entry in sales software
- establish on-site customer contact and introduce clients to service staff
- follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and solicit additional business
- conduct oneself professionally as a representative of the hotel
- assist other sales team members as needed
- support Director of Sales with annual business plan and budget
- execute and draft sales action plans
- work flexible hours and weekends as required
