Job Description

TQL Global is a leading logistics company specializing in freight brokerage and transportation solutions that connect businesses with tailored shipping services across the globe. As part of Total Quality Logistics, one of the fastest-growing freight brokerage firms in the United States, TQL Global focuses on international ocean freight forwarding, providing integrated logistics services that include full container load (FCL), less than container load (LCL), drayage, customs brokerage, and transloading. Known for its innovative approach and expansive network of domestic and global partners, TQL Global is committed to delivering reliable, cost-efficient, and scalable ocean freight solutions to a broad client base across various industries.

The Ocean Freight Forwarding Sales Executive role at TQL Global presents a unique opportunity for professionals passionate about international logistics and sales. This is a full-time position based in Houston, Texas, offering a competitive base salary complemented by uncapped commission potential. Employees in this role benefit from a comprehensive benefits package featuring health, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, and additional perks such as employee discounts and tuition reimbursement.

In this role, you will be integral to expanding TQL Global's international ocean freight forwarding business by cultivating new customer relationships and growing existing accounts. You will leverage your knowledge of global shipping lanes and ocean carriers to develop customized logistics solutions that meet intricate customer requirements. Your responsibilities include managing the complete sales lifecycle – from prospecting, pricing strategy, and negotiating contracts, to onboarding accounts. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with TQL’s extensive domestic sales network and global operations teams to uncover import and export opportunities and position TQL Global as a strategic partner in international logistics.

This role requires traveling approximately 25% of the time to meet with customers and prospects, attending industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings. You will be providing valuable market intelligence on carrier capacity, ocean rates, port congestion, and global trade trends, ensuring TQL Global’s operations remain competitive and adaptive in a dynamic marketplace. The position suits candidates with a minimum of two years of ocean freight forwarding experience, particularly those skilled in selling international ocean freight services such as FCL and LCL.

TQL Global fosters a dynamic, fast-paced, and growth-oriented working environment that rewards ambition, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills. The company’s culture emphasizes career advancement opportunities within structured career paths, supported by continuous learning and wellness initiatives. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position, so candidates must have the legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

By joining TQL Global as an Ocean Freight Forwarding Sales Executive, you will be part of a certified Great Place to Work employer that has received over 900 lifetime workplace awards. This role offers high earning potential and a chance to play a pivotal role in the expanding global trade logistics arena, providing an excellent platform to develop a robust book of business and enhance your career in international freight forwarding.
