The Seattle Marriott Redmond is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Executive to join its team on a full-time basis. The position is located in Redmond, Washington, and offers competitive annual compensation between $80,170 to $90,000, with eligibility for bonuses. This management role involves driving revenue growth and achieving topline goals for the hotel by proactively engaging all business segments. The Sales Executive will focus on soliciting new business accounts, sourcing new opportunities, identifying potential high-value targets, and re-engaging past leads and customers. Working in close partnership with property leadership, including the Property Sales Leader and hotel General Managers, this role is instrumental in developing and executing competitive sales strategies tailored to the market. The Sales Executive will also collaborate with local and national sales teams to maximize production from key corporate accounts.

The Sales Executive’s duties encompass managing sales activities such as identifying top accounts, managing deployment structures, coordinating business efforts, and ensuring effective lead generation programs. The role requires the utilization of business intelligence and company resources to generate leads and create meaningful customer interactions through calls, site inspections, events, and direct communication. This management position demands a strategic approach to funnel management, competitive analysis, market trend monitoring, and implementing company marketing initiatives and incentives to convert leads into revenue.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years experience in sales, marketing, guest services, or front desk
  • OR two-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field
  • Ability to work full time in Redmond, Washington
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust workload independently
  • Proficiency with sales information systems and CRM software
  • Willingness to participate in community networking events
  • Ability to travel locally for site inspections and customer meetings
  • Eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 2 years' experience in sales, marketing, guest services, or related area
  • OR 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • Preferred: 4-year college degree
  • Previous experience in proactive lead generation in hospitality sales
  • Knowledge of property-specific business segments such as group, catering, transient
  • Understanding of hospitality industry market and competitors
  • Proficient in using sales information systems and tools
  • Strong negotiation and creative selling abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple sales channels
  • Experience in managing sales funnels and lead generation

Job Duties

  • Work with Property Sales Leader in identifying top accounts, determine account deployment, identify key buyers, and coordinate efforts to drive business
  • Assist Property Sales Leader in identifying share shift targets
  • Ensure efficient funnel management and collaborate with Multi-Hotel Sales
  • Manage daily status change reports to close on business
  • Work with Local and U.S. Account Sales teams to drive production from high priority accounts
  • Provide support by coordinating internal mining efforts at assigned hotels
  • Solicit new business from small business accounts and internal referrals
  • Utilize business intelligence and lead referral tools to generate new business opportunities
  • Ensure lead generation programs are active for the hotel
  • Re-solicit non-deployed realized opportunities including turndowns and lost business
  • Drive customer satisfaction through active interactions and site inspections
  • Conduct customer facing sales activities such as lunch and learns, social hours, and local events
  • Maintain up-to-date lead information in sales systems for accurate reporting
  • Qualify and maintain customers' long-term business potential and refer as necessary
  • Verify timely turnover of leads to other sales channels and ensure entries in sales systems
  • Present hotel benefits and features based on customer needs
  • Utilize negotiation and creative selling skills to uncover new business
  • Research account deployment and value to understand market and competitors
  • Communicate market trends and opportunities to relevant parties
  • Leverage all available sales channels to optimize revenues
  • Utilize company marketing initiatives and incentives to convert leads
  • Track weekly activities related to revenue and room night production
  • Set daily priorities and actively participate in sales strategy meetings
  • Adapt workload priorities independently
  • Drive revenue from local non-deployed accounts
  • Activate local tactics for deployed accounts
  • Perform other duties as appropriate
