With a legacy of over 100 years in the food import industry, GGG boasts combined revenues exceeding $1.7 billion, demonstrating its significant influence and stronghold within the market. The group excels in multiple key areas such as sourcing, insurance, finance, logistics, food safety, and information technology. This diverse yet integrated system allows GGG to effectively meet the varying needs of its extensive clientele, which includes retailers, distributors, foodservice chains, hotels, cruise lines, and food manufacturers.
The company is recognized not only for its historical presence in the food import landscape but also for its innovative approach to business processes and customer service. GGG continuously invests in technology and quality assurance, ensuring high standards in product delivery and customer satisfaction. By maintaining a commitment to operational excellence and strategic partnerships, Gellert Global Group remains a vital player in the foodservice sector, capable of adapting to changing market demands and evolving customer preferences.
GGG is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Coordinator to support its Foodservice sales channel. This is an entry-level, hybrid role based in Elizabeth, New Jersey, with plans to relocate to a new corporate headquarters in Madison, New Jersey, in the first quarter of 2027. Candidates should be comfortable with this upcoming location change and eager to grow within a dynamic environment.
As a Sales Coordinator, the successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in foodservice sales support, operations, reporting, and cross-functional business collaboration. The role requires close partnership with Sales Managers and various internal teams to manage customer requests efficiently, maintain accurate sales records, assist with product and promotional initiatives, and ensure timely execution of key sales activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop core skills in sales operations while contributing to the company's overall success.
Key responsibilities for this role include providing daily administrative and coordination support to the Foodservice sales team, handling customer inquiries and follow-ups, managing sample requests, POS materials, spec sheets, and presentation preparation. The coordinator will also assist with sales meetings, trade show logistics, food show execution, customer calls, and foodservice events to support promotional efforts and strengthen client engagement.
Maintaining up-to-date customer lists, trackers, CRM systems, sales activity records, and the Foodservice SharePoint site will be critical in ensuring data accuracy and accessibility. Additional duties include supporting RMA and credit request processes, tracking outstanding issues, and coordinating communication regarding product availability, pricing updates, promotions, lead times, and new product launches. Moreover, the Sales Coordinator will interact cross-functionally with departments such as Customer Excellence, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Quality Assurance, and Pricing to align on customer requirements and sales initiatives.
This role will also involve running sales reports, conducting basic sales analysis, tracking quarterly wins and losses, identifying customer opportunities, addressing assortment gaps, monitoring sales initiatives, and managing key deadlines. The ability to keep projects and priorities moving forward through timely follow-up and clear communication is essential. GGG values proactive team members who are eager to build a career in sales, account management, or sales operations, particularly those with a strong interest in the food industry.
The salary range for this position is $57,000 to $66,000 annually plus bonus, with individual pay determined by skills, experience, and other relevant factors. Gellert Global Group offers comprehensive benefits supporting employees' total well-being, including medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, and professional growth opportunities. This is a unique chance for ambitious individuals to join a legacy company with a forward-looking business model, helping shape the future of foodservice sales in a collaborative and innovative environment.
