Job Description
Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, offering exceptional lodging experiences across a wide range of brands and locations. Among its prestigious portfolio is the EDITION Hotels brand, which combines the visionary creativity of boutique hotelier Ian Schrager with the luxury service standards and global reach of Marriott International. EDITION Hotels provide a unique blend of elegance, personality, and individualism that appeals to sophisticated and discerning customers who value quality, originality, design, and exceptional service. Located at 500 Channelside Dr, Tampa, Florida, EDITION Hotels is committed to creating an inspiring and dynamic work environment where all team members are encouraged to bring their best selves to work and to contribute meaningfully to an unforgettable guest experience. The company promotes diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity, ensuring that every employee and guest feels welcomed and valued. This open, collaborative culture supports the fusion of diverse talents and experiences, fostering both personal and professional growth among associates.
The role available is a Sales and Marketing Support position within Marriott International’s EDITION Hotels in Tampa. This is a full-time, non-management role designed to assist the sales and marketing teams in various administrative and customer service tasks. The position involves general office duties such as filing, sending emails, transcribing information, faxing, and photocopying, all aimed at supporting sales initiatives. The Sales and Marketing Support individual will prepare sales-related documents including proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders to ensure seamless execution throughout the sales process. Promoting brand awareness both internally and externally is a critical part of this role, requiring the gathering and assembly of marketing materials and information packages such as brochures and promotional literature.
The ideal candidate will utilize sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining guest loyalty to Marriott. This involves data entry, withdrawal, reconciliation, and verification of sales-related information including commissions and third-party initiatives using sales process software. The Sales and Marketing Support role serves as a primary point of contact with clients, answering questions related to hotel facilities and services, from activity hours and rates to packages, promotions, entertainment, dining options, and special events. Professional communication by phone and email is essential, alongside adherence to company policies and maintaining a professional appearance. The role also emphasizes a genuine approach to customer service by anticipating and meeting guests’ needs with warmth and appreciation. Team collaboration and maintaining positive workplace relationships are pivotal to achieving common goals. Other responsibilities include monitoring quality standards, meeting uniform and personal grooming expectations, and handling light physical tasks such as moving objects up to 10 pounds. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within one of the hospitality industry's most exciting brands, providing an environment that challenges and inspires employees to deliver theatrical and memorable experiences to guests daily. By joining this team, you become part of a global Marriott network committed to excellence and continuous growth, where you can thrive and achieve your best version.
