Job Description

Guest Worldwide is a prominent global collective of dynamic, industry-leading companies with over 40 years of unparalleled experience catering to the specialized needs of diverse markets worldwide. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Sysco, one of the world's leading global food and beverage distribution companies and the home of the 13th largest sales organization globally, Guest Worldwide operates with an extensive network and influence across the industry. This strong backing allows the company to provide comprehensive hospitality and distribution solutions through its various divisions such as Guest Supply®, which offers full-spectrum hospitality products, Gilchrist & Soames, known for manufacturing award-winning personal care amenities, and Manchester Mills, which specializes in innovative and versatile textile solutions. Together, these entities supply products to over 25,000 hotels across more than 100 countries, underscoring Guest Worldwide’s prominence as a major player in the hospitality supply industry.

The Sales Consultant at Guest Worldwide plays a pivotal role in driving the company’s success by building and nurturing strong relationships with new and existing customers. This position is designed for driven, consultative outside sales professionals who are passionate about partnering with hotels, management groups, and other markets within a designated territory. The primary focus is to promote and sell the company’s diverse range of amenities, textiles, room accessories, paper goods, janitorial supplies, cleaning products, fixtures, furniture, equipment (FF&E), and maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) products. The goal is to become the customer’s most valued and trusted business partner, contributing not only to the customer’s success but also to the attainment of sales and profit targets established by Guest Worldwide.

This role is ideal for candidates who excel in consultative selling techniques, possess deep product knowledge, and utilize system tools such as Phocas, GForce, and Salesforce.com to identify and capitalize on new market growth opportunities. In addition to client acquisition, the Sales Consultant is responsible for managing accounts to ensure a superior customer experience, promptly addressing any issues, and maintaining consistent communication regarding company changes, pricing updates, and new product offerings. This position involves proactive interaction across various internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.

An attractive compensation package includes a base salary complemented by quarterly bonuses tied to key performance indicators, rewarding successful achievement of sales targets. Guest Worldwide values professionalism, organization, excellent communication skills, and a results-driven attitude in its Sales Consultants. The role also requires the ability to manage multiple initiatives autonomously and adapt to shifting priorities without losing focus on achieving goals.

Candidates applying for this role should be prepared for frequent travel within the assigned territory to attend appointments, training sessions, staff meetings, company events, and industry or vendor trade shows. Working remotely may be an option, but it necessitates a reliable internet connection and a dedicated, distraction-free workspace conducive to professional communications. The position may require occasional evening and weekend work, and the employee must maintain a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance coverage per Sysco’s requirements.

Overall, this Sales Consultant position at Guest Worldwide offers a remarkable opportunity for sales professionals who are eager to join a globally recognized organization with a robust legacy in hospitality solutions. It combines strategic sales responsibilities with the chance to build long-term, trusted business partnerships while enjoying competitive rewards and the support of a highly respected company in the hospitality supply industry.
