Job Description
Eddie V's is a distinguished upscale restaurant renowned for providing an exceptional dining experience that seamlessly blends sophisticated ambiance with top-tier culinary excellence. Known for its commitment to quality and luxury, Eddie V's focuses on creating memorable moments through its attentive service and exquisite menu offerings. Serving a diverse clientele that ranges from local patrons to business professionals and special event guests, Eddie V's continuously strives to maintain its position as a premier dining destination. The establishment thrives on cultivating a culture where guest satisfaction and indulgent experiences are paramount, ensuring every visit is marked by perfection and personalized attention.
The role of Sales and Events Manager at Eddie V's is integral to the restaurant's growth and customer engagement strategies. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $90,000 annually, reflecting the importance of the responsibilities it entails. Reporting directly to the Managing Partner, the Sales and Events Manager is tasked with driving profitable sales growth through the development and execution of innovative business plans aimed at acquiring new guests and expanding existing dining business contracts. A key focus of this role is the meticulous planning and flawless execution of contracted event dining experiences that exceed guest expectations.
The Sales and Events Manager will lead a team of up to eight direct reports, fostering a culture of sales excellence and exceptional customer relationship management. Success in this role is measured by consistent achievement of financial targets, including overall sales growth, private dining sales, and positive return on investment from marketing initiatives. The manager is also responsible for strategizing with leadership to identify and close business gaps, sourcing new business opportunities through hosting events, and sustaining a robust database of guest information for targeted outreach activities.
In executing these duties, the Sales and Events Manager develops referral partnerships with local organizations such as chambers of commerce, convention and visitors bureaus, and nearby hotels, thereby strengthening the restaurant's network and elevating its market presence. This role demands a high level of interpersonal skills to cultivate strong guest relationships and to coach sales and host teams on best practices for relationship building and revenue growth.
Furthermore, the Sales and Events Manager negotiates event contracts, co-manages event details with internal sales and service teams, and ensures each event is delivered with attention to detail and a commitment to indulgent guest experiences. Post-event follow-ups to secure repeat business and gather guest feedback underscore the role’s dedication to continual improvement and sustained customer satisfaction.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining sales acumen through continuous training and collaboration with the Restaurant Support Center, optimizing the reservation system, and managing marketing collateral approvals and production to support sales initiatives effectively. The role requires proficiency in industry-standard tools including Outlook, OpenTable, and Gather, with a preference for candidates who bring experience from luxury brands or service cultures where high-touch guest interaction is critical.
This opportunity at Eddie V's is ideal for candidates with a passion for luxury hospitality, a strategic mindset for business development, and a commitment to delivering unparalleled guest experiences. By combining sales expertise with exceptional event management skills, the Sales and Events Manager plays a crucial role in sustaining and enhancing Eddie V's reputation as a leading destination for both fine dining and exclusive contracted events.
