Job Description
Eddie V's is a renowned upscale dining establishment celebrated for its sophisticated atmosphere, exquisite cuisine, and impeccable service. As a part of a luxury restaurant group, Eddie V's is dedicated to delivering memorable dining experiences through a blend of elegant ambiance and top-tier culinary offerings. Known for attracting a discerning clientele, the restaurant emphasizes quality, hospitality, and a warm, welcoming environment that caters to both casual diners and special event guests. The brand has built a reputation for excellence, making it a preferred destination for both local patrons and visitors seeking high-end dining experiences in a comfortable yet refined setting.
The Sales and Events Manager role at Eddie V's is a pivotal position responsible for driving profitable sales growth by developing and executing strategic business development plans. This position focuses on attracting new guests while expanding contracted dining business by curating indulgent and memorable event experiences. The essence of this role is dual: building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and returning guests and collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure exceptional event delivery that aligns with the restaurant's high standards.
The Sales and Events Manager reports directly to the Managing Partner and oversees a team of between one and eight direct reports, reflecting the leadership responsibility and scope of this position. Key responsibilities include meeting and exceeding restaurant financial goals such as overall sales growth, close ratios, and private dining sales. The manager is charged with managing the local marketing budget effectively to generate a positive return on investment for sales initiatives. Collaboration with the Managing Partner is essential to identify business needs and to implement tailored sales strategies, including hosting events to increase business development and re-engaging lapsed guests.
This role demands expertise in customer relationship management by building and maintaining an up-to-date guest database for targeted outreach campaigns, including birthday promotions, anniversaries, and email marketing efforts. Additionally, the Sales and Events Manager plays an active role in fostering a strong sales culture within the team by coaching and educating members on improved relationship-building and sales techniques.
Contracted dining business growth is a critical component of the position, achieved by sourcing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders at neighboring businesses and organizations. The manager is responsible for negotiating contracts, ensuring event details are accurately recorded and communicated across culinary and service teams, and delivering impeccable event experiences. Presence and attentiveness during events are vital, with a focus on exceeding client expectations and securing repeat business through effective follow-up communications.
Additional responsibilities include leveraging educational resources such as Host University to advance sales skills, supporting the Managing Partner in optimizing the reservation system, and ensuring timely dissemination and execution of communications from the Restaurant Support Center. Coordination with legal and financial counsel for approvals on marketing materials and partnerships also falls under this role, along with managing the creation of marketing collateral to support sales initiatives.
With a salary range from $64,000 to $75,000 per year, this full-time position offers an opportunity to join a prestigious culinary brand and contribute significantly to its growth and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a background in luxury brand or high-touch service cultures, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
