Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 months related experience and/or training
- Current California Food Handlers Card
- Ability to read and understand recipes
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or 1-3 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combinations of education and experience is required
- Current California Food Handlers Card
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions and understand measurements
- Able to read recipes
- Ability to speak and understand English both written and verbally
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
Job Duties
- Wash, cut and/or cook vegetables, fruit, meat, fish, poultry and/or seafood to prepare for use
- Prepare and arrange vegetables and fruits for salads according to recipe and garnishes using hand and electric food service equipment
- Set up salad bar, clean equipment, work area, utensils, and refrigerator
- Use prep lists to determine production for the day and prepare ingredients for and mix salad dressings and sauces
- Maintain a fresh and attractive salad bar as well as the organization and cleanliness of the restaurant
- Assist with job duties in other or multiple departments as assigned
- Work on special projects or assist with other work necessary to the operations of the company
