This role is for a dedicated Team Member specializing in salad preparation within Sizzler's food service environment. The position involves preparing and producing food menu items according to approved recipes and standards, focusing primarily on routine salad preparation and maintenance. The team member will be responsible for tasks such as washing, cutting, and cooking vegetables, fruits, meats, fish, and poultry. Additionally, the role includes setting up and maintaining the salad bar, cleaning equipment and work areas, and preparing dressings and sauces following specified recipes. This position demands strong attention to sanitation and safety protocols, a commitment to quality and productivity standards, and adherence to company policies. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 months related experience and/or training
- Current California Food Handlers Card
- Ability to read and understand recipes
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or 1-3 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combinations of education and experience is required
- Current California Food Handlers Card
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions and understand measurements
- Able to read recipes
- Ability to speak and understand English both written and verbally
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
Job Duties
- Wash, cut and/or cook vegetables, fruit, meat, fish, poultry and/or seafood to prepare for use
- Prepare and arrange vegetables and fruits for salads according to recipe and garnishes using hand and electric food service equipment
- Set up salad bar, clean equipment, work area, utensils, and refrigerator
- Use prep lists to determine production for the day and prepare ingredients for and mix salad dressings and sauces
- Maintain a fresh and attractive salad bar as well as the organization and cleanliness of the restaurant
- Assist with job duties in other or multiple departments as assigned
- Work on special projects or assist with other work necessary to the operations of the company
