The role available is for a Salad Bar Team Member who plays a vital part in daily kitchen operations focused on salad and fresh produce preparation. This position requires the candidate to prepare and produce food items using approved recipes and maintain strict adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines. Responsibilities include washing, cutting, cooking, and arranging vegetables, fruits, meats, fish, poultry, and seafood for salads and other menu items. The Team Member also sets up and maintains the Salad Bar, ensuring that it remains fresh, attractive, and well-stocked throughout service hours. This role is essential in upholding the restaurant’s quality standards and is integral to guest satisfaction.
In addition to routine salad preparation, this position may require the Team Member to assist other departments within the kitchen or dining area, demonstrating flexibility and a "Here to Help Mentality." The Team Member must comply with all company policies, including grooming and appearance standards, and actively contribute to a harassment-free and respectful work environment. The job also involves preparing dressings and sauces, cleaning equipment and work areas, and sometimes undertaking special projects assigned by management. Safety is paramount, and employees must use equipment and materials properly to maintain a safe and secure workplace.

Job Requirements

- Current California Food Handlers Card
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions and understand measurements
- Ability to speak and understand English both written and verbally
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions

- Able to stand, use hands, talk and hear regularly

Job Duties
- Wash, cut and or cook vegetables, fruit, meat, fish, poultry and or seafood to prepare for use
- Prepares and arranges vegetables and fruits for salads according to recipe and garnishes using hand and electric food service equipment
- Set up of Salad Bar, cleans equipment, work area, utensils, and refrigerator
- Uses prep lists to determine production for the day and prepares ingredients for and mixes salad dressings and sauces
- Maintains a fresh and attractive salad bar as well as the organization and cleanliness of the restaurant
- Assigned to other and or multiple departments besides primary job code
- Assist with other work necessary or important to the operations of the company
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding job duties and responsibilities
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
