This role is essential to maintaining and enhancing the safety standards across all operational activities. As a Safety Specialist at Lewis, you will serve as a visible leader who motivates and influences teams by embodying the company’s core Operating Principles. You will work closely with Operations to drive continuous safety improvements, conduct worksite observations, and lead safety training and coaching sessions. The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of safety regulations such as OSHA and ANSI. The position involves extensive travel, about 30 to 40 percent of the time, including overnight visits, to provide oversight and governance across various field locations. \n\nLewis emphasizes employee development, offering paid training and certifications, providing avenues for internal promotions, and granting access to an exceptional Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), allowing employees to share in the company’s success.
